I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I worked with him for only a short while at Cowan's during the late 90's. I just came across an old guitar magazine that he gave me and I saw his name and decided to look him up.
I found him to be a wonderful coworker and an amazing musician. His knowledge of music was just incredible. On slow days sometimes we'd bring our acoustic guitars and strum away for a bit.
He was always upbeat and just a wonderful soul.

Steve was one of my best friends in grammar and high school. We kept in touch through the decades. He touched my heart and will remain there forever. My deepest condolences to his family. You have suffered a Great Loss. I will always miss him.

Steve's parents were good friends with my parents. His father was a childhood friend with my dad and he was in my parents wedding. I don't know when I met Steve, he was always there and his brothers along with my sisters. We would play together when we were children and I remember when Margie had a baby girl, his sister.
My mom, Gloria was good friends with Margie and we would walk over to his house all the time because we lived on Garibaldi. When my parents divorced in 1965 we left Lodi, so we lost touch. Years later when I returned to Lodi, I met up with Steve and then after many years- a life time really ... we met up once again via Face Book.
We reminisced over our childhood and parents. I am just learning of his passing and I am shaken. I never met his wife or family but I know he adored his wife Beverly, his children and grandchildren. There was a kindness attached to Steve even as a boy His love of music was so big that anyone with that kind of love and dedication can only have goodness in their heart. I will miss him on FB which is were we touched base. I know he is in heaven with his parents and all those who crossed over before him. RIP my childhood friend I am missing you already.

To the man that taught me how to live, laugh, strum, throw, speak, write, behave, calculate, hold, cook, drive, parent, effort and love:
I love you Dad. There isn't enough air in the atmosphere or pages of paper for me to fully detail what you've done for my life and what you mean to me.
You are clean oxygen to anyone you've met.
With all your self-proclaimed flaws, you are about as perfect as one could be.
I love you with all my heart.
Stephen
