Obituary of Daniel B. Wallace

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

~~Daniel (Danny) Bruce Wallace, 55, passed away on December 3, 2017 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune NJ surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Daniel is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Hubert Harrington and Helen Byrnes Harrington; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas Wallace and Viola Sickler Wallace.  He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jane Burruss-Wallace whom he cherished with all of his heart. He is also survived by his loving parents, Sally and Oliver Wallace whom he adored and appreciated.
He leaves behind so many family and friends and has had a profound impact on all of their lives: His step-children: Craig Kacsmar and wife Jillian, Erica Weaver and husband Erik, and Robert Burruss and fiancée Cortney; His grandchildren: Arianna, Caleb, Teagan, Troy, Kathryn, Jake, and soon to be born baby boy; His siblings: Kenneth Wallace and wife Kathy, Linda Rush and husband Dave, and James Wallace; His nieces and nephews: Kenny Wallace Jr. and wife Nicole, Kristopher Wallace and wife Stacey, Keith Wallace and wife Laurin, and Kaitlin Veitenheimer and husband Ray, and Erica; His great-nieces and nephews: Gwen, Andie, Noelle, Mia, Aiden, Abby, Landon, and soon to be born baby girl;  His Aunt Helen Blunt and husband Rich; His cousins Richard Blunt and his wife Stephanie and daughter Serena, and Brian Blunt and his wife Melissa and their children Jessica and Ryan. So many close friends, he considered “family” – you know who you are and how important you were to Danny.
Danny always listened to people, quietly and intently. He was a caring and compassionate person. He always had a smile on his face and was a kind and gentle spirit. He never took anything for granted and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was devoted to his wife, family, and friends and loved them unconditionally. He had a real passion for music and enjoyed his weekend ‘jam sessions’ with his friends. He was obsessed with hockey, especially the NJ Devils. He loved everything Sy-Fy, was a history buff, and could complete a crossword puzzle faster than anyone could.
In keeping with Danny’s loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live.  Even in death, his giving continued as he gave the gift of life to as many as 70 people through organ and tissue donation.  This gift will restore life’s promise for many families.

Cremation will be private. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate Danny’s life on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm at Yesterday’s Restaurant 938 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. Please dress casually in jeans as that would be Danny’s wish.
