Joan F. Farewell April 11, 1928-Novemeber 13, 2024

Joan F. Farewell, 96,of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away at home with her family by her side on November 13,2024. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Tomczyk [Stanley] of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and Janet PeacocK [Elan Cherney] of Ganesvoort, NY. Also survived by her cherished grand-children, Brian Tomczyk[Wendy], Kari Hamlin, Brooke Misak, Nicholas Hunter, Jillian Peacock and Christine Tomczyk. She was blessed to enjoy many great and great great grand-children. Surviving are two sisters in California. She is predeceased by her spouses, Jesse Farewell and Edward Peacock, grandson, Matthew Tomczyk and brother F. Craig Kilpatrick.

Born and raised in the Philadelphia area to parents E. Gilmore and Emily Kilpatrick, she worked as an RN with children at Shriners Hospital until marrying and raising her family. Joan spent decades summering in Ship Bottom, NJ before permanently moving there in 1975. Twelve years ago she left LBI and moved to the Perry's Lake community where she made wonderful friends who were of great support to her in her final years.

As the matriarch of our family ,she will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
