Obituary of Daisy M Fernandez

Daisy M. Fernandez, 94, of Beachwood, NJ passed away at her daughter’s home in Beachwood, NJ, on December 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bayonne, NJ to parents, Clifton Faser and Amelia German Faser, and lived in Beachwood before retiring to Ft. Pierce, FL. She was in partnership in the family business of Lionel’s TV Service in Toms River, NJ. She later worked in the Purchasing department at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Daisy was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beachwood, NJ. She and her family faithfully attended services, and she served on committees, taught Sunday school, and greatly valued the fellowship of dear, lifelong friends in the Esther Group Bible study. Daisy was faithful with her daily Bible study and prayer time. She was an avid reader of Christian fiction, and she enjoyed many hours playing cards and games with family (There’s no crying in Canasta!). In her retirement, she enjoyed golf, dancing, and bowling and attended Pathways Church, formerly Vero Beach Church of God, FL. Daisy loved reminiscing about her childhood and youth in Bayonne, NJ. Looking at family photos, telling stories of growing up, dear friends, high school dances, and of course, how she and her husband-to-be met, brought her tremendous pride and joy. Daisy was kind, loving and generous to all. She was a dedicated Christian who lovingly shared her faith with everyone and prayed fervently for every need. Her Christian faith is a legacy she passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her greatest joy was the sure and certain hope of the resurrection and the unwavering belief that she would share eternity in Heaven with Jesus and all her loved ones who have gone before her. We will miss her beautiful smile, but we know that we will see her again! Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your master! Daisy was predeceased in death by her husband, Edward H. Fernandez, Sr., two sons, Edward H. Fernandez, Jr., and Clifton P. Fernandez, and her sister Marion A. Martin. Surviving are her son Kenneth R. Fernandez and wife Elaine, her daughter Patricia A. Driscoll and husband William, and a daughter-in-law Lauretta Fernandez. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended loving family. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 20th at 1:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beachwood, NJ. We hope you can join us as we lift our voices together in worship, scripture, and prayer, and share memories of Daisy and how she touched our lives. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
