Nancy Dawn King, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 62 in Barnegat, NJ. Nancy's warm and kind nature touched the lives of everyone she met. She possessed a beauty that radiated both inside and out. Throughout her battle with cancer, Nancy displayed remarkable bravery and a sense of humor that inspired all those around her. Nancy is survived by her daughter Michelle Fendelander (Oliver), son Justin Fendelander, and her cherished grandchildren Vance and Jax. She is also survived by her sister Natalie King, brother Wayne King (Lisa), sister Stacey Burlaga (John), and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Nancy J. King and father Robert W. King. In her youth, Nancy spent 14 years with the Dorothy Pharo school of dance, where she excelled as a member of one of the finest precision tap lines in NJ. She showcased her talents with the Tony Grant Stars of Tomorrow on the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. Nancy also achieved many successes in beauty pageants, leading up to her participation in the Mrs. NJ pageant, where she received a runway model position. Additionally, in her spare time she found solace and joy in caring for and riding her beloved horse, Montana, wherever she could. Throughout her career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Viking Yachts, Nancy formed lasting relationships with over 200 employees. She adored her job and her Viking family, finding fulfillment in the connections she built during her time there. When Nancy wasn't working, she found solace in her hobbies. She loved traveling to see her children, spoiling her grandchildren, tending her garden, spending time with her dogs, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors through skiing, hiking, and embracing the beauty of the winter snow. A memorial service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at West Creek United Methodist Church from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's name to the Popcorn Park Zoo, animal welfare being a cause she deeply cared about.
