Arthur F. Schulz Obituary

Arthur Francis Schulz, “Poppy” ,age 86 of Little Egg Harbor died Friday November 19, 2021, at home. He moved to Mystic Islands in 1973 and then to Mystic Shores in 1989. Born in Cliffside Park, he also resided in Fairview and Guttenberg. He retired early on disability from the Ridgefield Park Police Department. At the time of retirement, he was serving as treasurer of PBA Local #86 of Bergen County. He also belonged to “The New Jersey State PBA Retired Members Local #600” and “The Retired and Disabled Police of America”. After retirement he liked doing building construction work.


A U.S. Army Veteran. He served with “The First Division” in Bamberg, Germany.


Also was a coach for Midget Football and Girls Softball. He liked watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.

Surviving is his loving wife of sixty-four years, Barbara. Three daughters, Susan Cairone- Tim, Dawn Ledermann- Dave, and Karissa Reinhold- Fred. And was predeceased by his daughter, Linda. He had eight grandchildren, Casey, Jessica, Jennifer, Kate, Shawn, Michael, Amy, and Megan. Twelve great- grandchildren Cody, Owen, Ethan, Kiera, Colin, Natalie, Maggie, Isla, Wyatt, Olivia, Timothy, and Brandon. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.


The service will be private. Arthur’s final resting place will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
