Obituary of Virginia Marie DiGiesi

Virginia “Ginny” DiGiesi was granted her angel wings on the afternoon of March 23rd, 2021, at the age of 83.
Virginia Marie was born in Jersey City on January 9th, 1937, to Florence and Timothy Scanlon.
Virginia was mother to Michael, Lawrence and Andrew. She raised her 3 sons with love and devotion in Hopatcong, NJ.
As a switchboard operator, school bus driver and a court clerk for Roxbury Township, Virginia spent over 45 years giving back to her community which gave her much pride and joy. She loved anything about Alaska, her bird; Woody, Snoopy collectables, spending time with her family, taking her grandchildren for ice cream, doing word searches and crocheting. She was most proud of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michael, Lawrence and Andrew, her daughter-in-law; Kelly, her grandchildren; Krista, Marissa, Samantha, Nicholas and Logan, and her great-grandson; Waylon “Bo”. Aside from her children, Virginia is also survived by her sister; Barbara McCann and her brother; Gerald Scanlon.
Virginia is preceded by the death of her father; Timothy Scanlon, mother; Florence Scanlon, and sister; Florence Bevere.
Funeral services will be held at Polhemus Cremation Services and Funeral Home, located at 203 Main Street, West Creek, New Jersey on Saturday March 27th, 2021, from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
