March 5, 2020- Mom got her wings. Married to Dad, Julius Perino Sr. for 62 1/2 years. Her Father was Anthony DeMaio, Mother was Margaret Fafarro and Step Mother was Jennie. Mother of Maria Orozco and Julius Jr. Perino , Brother Albert DeMaio and Sister Lenora Clemente. Nieces Margaret and Monica, Grandchildren, Brian, Tina Marie, Tony and Julian. Great grandchildren, Landon, Charleigh, Truly and Andee. She married her elementary school sweetheart. At age 19 she married Julius PERINO, her Navy man. They were attached by the hip, completely inseparable. They even took ballroom dance classes. She loved Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. She had a wonderful career starting as a Law Secretary and worked her way up to the Deputy Chief Clerk in the Surrogates Court in Riverhead, NY. Their life was filled with many adventures ; traveling abroad, houseboats and golf. The last adventure was a motor home which afforded them to travel around the USA. They did everything together. She was in the Ladies Auxiliary while Dad was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus at St Francis Cabrini Church in Littleton, CO. She enjoyed one pastime the most and that was shopping at Macy's. Cooking for her family and friends was her second favorite pastime. Everyone looked forward to an Italian meal with the Perinos! She enjoyed watching the Broncos with Dad and grandson Brian whenever she could. Mom was known for her great past down family recipes such as her meatballs, rice balls, fried veggies and a dozen different cookies and cakes of the past. She was super neat, clean, organized and an incredible decorator. I used to say she had " Model Home Syndrome" . Ha! The past three years Dementia stole her mind and Parkinson's took her legs. For this strong, active and vibrant Mom the disease stole her smile too. In the end she really suffered with memory loss, focus, speech, movement, motor skills and more. Everyday tasks became impossible. The day before her stroke she screamed at Jesus and said " Why are you taking so long." She was ready. She already showed us she is in a better place and will be ready to help my Dad find her when he is called. My Mom is with Jesus... Dementia took her brain, Parkinson’s took her legs, her smile disappeared. But on March 5th Jesus took her soul. RIP El, Sam, Eleanor, Gigi, Grandma, Gram, Aunt Eleanor, Mommy, Mrs Perino. Heaven is for Real. Prayers Matter! Thank you RRC you got me through it even from afar in NJ! Thank you Bayside Chapel! Thank you St Mary’s ! Thank you Mission Hills! #prayers matter
