Obituary of Louis F. Brofsky
Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louis Brofsky (AKA Big Lou), 69, born in Elizabeth, NJ on October 18th 1954, passed away February 21st surrounded by his 3 children and wife of 42 years.
He lived in Brick, NJ, before settling in Little Egg Harbor. Big Lou was a friend to all and truly would’ve given you the shirt off his back. He truly had a heart of gold. He could be found on the golf course or out fishing on his boat. He was a proud retired Local 172 Laborer, and also spent many of his weekends working on The White Star, a charter boat out of LBI. He had a strong connection with his 5 grandchildren, whom in return adored him. As per his wishes, there will not be a viewing or funeral. Instead, Lou wanted us to remember the happy times spent together.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Donna Brofsky, son Louie Brofsky and wife Hiu, daughter Jordan Johnson and husband Fred, daughter Robin Vitolo and husband Frank, brother Kevin Barrie, and grandchildren Joseph, Giuliana, Lana, Nico, and Emmy. He is predeceased by his father Louis Brofsky, and brother Richard Brofsky.
