In Loving Memory of Robert W. Nunn (Pop) August 28, 1932 - October 21, 2023 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert W. Nunn, affectionately known as "Pop," who departed this world on October 21, 2023, peacefully at home. Born on August 28, 1932 in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of Elmer L. Nunn and Lillian D. (Brown) Nunn of Watchung, both deceased, and a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Pop was raised and spent most of his life in Watchung, NJ and attended Watchung Borough School and North Plainfield High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and worked as a mechanic. Pop was predeceased by his beloved wife Carrol (Mease) Nunn, in 1997. He was also predeceased by brothers Charles Nunn and Leroy Nunn also of Watchung. He is survived by his children Dr. Randall Nunn (Kari) of Toms River, NJ, James Nunn (Cathy) of Phoenixville, PA, David Nunn (Kim), and Bonnie Brunskill (Andrew) of Watchung, NJ and his grandchildren Stephen, Jacqueline, Cara, Charlie, R. Mitchell, Carol, Melanie, Robert, Danielle, Nicole, Julia, Sabrina, and great-grandson Knox. Pop is also survived by his longtime friend and companion, Alda Mattison of Washington, NJ as well as his sister-in-law, Marie Savoy of Pine Beach, NJ, and nephews Richard Nunn of Hillsboro, NJ, Charles (Chip) Nunn Jr. of Summerville, SC, Dwayne Mease of Snow Hill, MD, and Gary Mease of Ocean Gate, NJ. A celebration of Pop's life will be held on October 29, 2023 at 2:00pm at Wilson Memorial Church in Watchung where family and friends are invited to gather. Pop will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and friendly smile will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
