Patricia Ann Bissell passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

She is survived by her loving children, Greg Bissell (Bridget) and Michelle Vitiello (Steve); her cherished grandchildren, Brielle Gulya, Ryan Gulya, and Bradley Bissell; and her caring brother, David Trotta.  She was predeceased by Michael Bissell; her parents, Pat and Vera Trotta; and her brother, Robert Trotta.

Patricia was born August 3, 1947, in Newark, NJ.  She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.  In 1971, she married the love of her life, Michael Bissell.  In 1976, they settled in Pine Beach, where they raised their family and where Patricia remained in the home she cherished for 50 years.  Patricia had a deep love for the water, especially the Toms River and Barnegat Bay, where she enjoyed boating with her husband.  Together, they loved to travel to tropical islands.  

Patricia was a talented artist who painted mostly landscapes.  Her family proudly displays her work in their homes.  She also found great joy in gardening and was well known for her remarkable green thumb.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Pine Beach Yacht Club.
