Victoria V. Clapper Obituary

Victoria V. Clapper, 66, Manahawkin, NJ went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 16,

2026 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ. Victoria was born March 16, 1959

in Riverside, NJ. She graduated Burlington City High School in 1977. She married her loving

husband, Mark, on March 18, 1978. They resided in Burlington City until their move to Ocean

County in 1986.

Victoria was a full time mom to her two daughters, Stephanie and Jennifer. She began her

career at Stafford Twp Schools in 1990 as a special education paraprofessional. For 32 years,

she touched the lives of so many students, staff, and friends. Her passion was the children.

She participated in so many charities that helped the homeless, those who couldn’t afford food

or Christmas (Adopt a Family), medical charities, and fundraisers. Her heart was especially

dedicated and committed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Tennessee and Deborah Heart

and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ.

She was a beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan and took great pride in

heckling anyone who wasn’t. She loved the beach, nature, and animals, especially her

Pomeranian loyal buddies Rusty and Frannie who met her at Heaven’s gates.

She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Eileen Viereck, brothers Roberts Viereck Jr and

Timothy Viereck Sr. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Clapper, daughters Stephanie

Thorne (Gary) and Jennifer Recker (T.J. Alexandrou), beloved grandsons Benjamin Recker and

Noah Thorne, whom she absolutely adored. She is also survived by her sister Tammy Lopez

(Walter), brother Todd Viereck (Erin), brother in law Greg Clapper, sister in law Meghan

Viereck, nieces Taylor Petillo (Joe), Addison Viereck, Paige Viereck, nephews Robert Viereck III

(Meghan), Jon Viereck, Timothy Viereck Jr, Nicholas Viereck, Matthew Viereck, Michael

Viereck, Justin and Garret Clapper, great nieces Alessia and Alaina Petillo, and countless

friends and family. A special thank you to the team at Southern Ocean Medical Center Critical

Care Unit for their neverending love and support.
