Carol Pater, born on December 27, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.  Carol was a woman of deep kindness, strong family devotion, and quiet strength.  Her warm presence, steady support and generous heart touched all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Larry) W. Pater, Jr. and Tricia A. McLaughlin (Brian); and her beloved granddaughter, Madison Rose McLaughlin.  She is also survived by her sisters Christine Cavanaugh, Rita Steffens (Ron), Regina DeGennaro (Dan), Marie Marr (Bob), and her brothers Joseph Cavanaugh (Marianne) and Patrick Cavanaugh (Marie).  Carol leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence (Larry) W. Pater, Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Anne T. Cavanaugh; her sisters Lyn VanLeer and Theresa Miller; her brother Michael Cavanaugh; her nephew Joseph E. Cavanaugh; and her brother-in-law William VanLeer.

A memorial service to honor Carol's life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Polhemus Cremation Services in West Creek, NJ, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
