Thomas Henderson Huie, 93, left this earth to be with his Lord
and Savior on Saturday, May 31st. He was born on February 12, 1932
in Philadelphia, PA, to William Huie and Amelia Henderson.
Tom met the love of his life, Diane (Oettinger) Huie in
Philadelphia, PA, after serving his country with the U.S. Army
in the Korean War. They married in 1957, and celebrated their
67 years together with six children: Thomas J. Huie (Gloria) of
Egg Harbor, NJ; Joseph J. Huie of Fort Pierce, FL; Nadine J. (Sato) (Brian)
of Fort Pierce, FL; Angeline Vanaman (Ralph) of Little Egg Harbor, NJ;
Annamarie J. Huie of Manahawkin, NJ; and Patrice Erin Medolla of Mays Landing, NJ.
In addition to his children, he is survived by five grandchildren:
Frank Bellinger III (Stephanie); Jenniel Gambardello (Anthony);
Jonathan Vanaman; Sophia Medolla; Hannah Huie and two great grandchildren:
Nina Smith and Leo Bellanger and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by his parents and brothers: William (Joyce) and
Joseph (Judy) Huie. He is survived by his sister, Amelia who resides in Texas.
Tom was a hands-on skilled worker his entire career and retired from
Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin/RCA after a career of service. He was
the Union Shop Steward and Lead Model Technician. He held memberships
in local VFWs and American Legions in New Jersey and Arkansas. He was
a member of St. Theresa's RC Church in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
