Immediately following the service a repast will be held at the Stafford Township Firehouse, 133 Stafford Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey 08050 for a celebration of David’s Life.
Obituary of David R Holt

David R. Holt – 67 – passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on April 3, 2025.
David grew up on Long Beach Island and graduated Southern Regional High School. He moved to Tuckerton in 1988 when he married the love of his life Lori-Ann (Feeney) Holt. David had been employed over the years at Holt’s American Station, Nissen Marine, Ray’s Getty Station, Moffitts Mobil, all of Ship Bottom, Russo Fuel in Manahawkin, Point Bay Fuel in Lakewood and was currently employed at Ralph Clayton & Sons in Lakewood.
David had multiple hobbies including hunting, woods riding, boating, crabbing, gravey races, motorcycle riding to name a few. He loved doing mechanical things and working on all kinds of cars and trucks. He enjoyed his Cola Rock, aka Beer, and spending time with his family and friends. His son Ashton cherished his Dad and has inherited the same qualities and hobbies.
David was known to some of his friends by his nicknames of Diamond Dave, Rafter Man, Mechanic, Grease Monkey to name a few.
David is survived by his wife of 36 years, together for 49 years, Lori-Ann (Feeney) Holt, and son Ashton Holt of Tuckerton.
Sisters Laura (Holt) and Charlie Bianco of Barnegat and Sally (Holt) Ryan and husband Russ Conger of West Creek.
Brother–in-Law Thomas and Dianne Feeney Jr. of Manahawkin, nephew Thomas and Tracy Feeney III and great niece and nephew Grace and Gavin of Parkertown and niece Caitlin Feeney of Manahawkin.
Sister-in-Law Susan Feeney of Manahawkin.
The Stanger Family in Ohio and South Carolina.
He also leaves behind his four-legged best friends Shadow and Angel.
David was predeceased by his Father, Harry A Holt Sr and Mother, Sara May (Stanger) Holt of Ship Bottom. Brother-in-Law James Ryan (Sally) of Manahawkin.
David will be missed by many as he had a heart of gold, he was a kind, gentle, funny family man.
Viewing will be held on June 7, 2025 from 1-4pm with the Service at 3pm, at the Manahawkin United Methodist Church, 116 Stafford Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey 08050. Immediately following the service all are welcome to attend the Stafford Township Firehouse, 133 Stafford Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey 08050 for a celebration of David’s Life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of America for research and awareness of Lung Cancer (Link for donations may be found in the linktree).
