Valerie Joan Lozza, born January 4,1947 passed away at the age of 76, on December 8, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Manhattan and grew up in a big family with three sisters, Marilyn, Joanne, Danielle and her wonderful parents Nora & Dan.

She nurtured a love of art in college and pursued illustration. Once married, she spent her time raising her children and creating a beautiful home in which they grew up. She had a love of interior design and could make something from NOTHING. She always enjoyed feeding and entertaining her family and friends, and those who knew her knew she was an excellent cook! Her warm nature and quick laugh will be missed.

She is survived by her loving husband Peter Lozza, three children Justin Lozza, Daniel Lozza & Michaela Hendrickson, and her sister Danielle Grimes. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Tracy Tufaro, Chad Grimes, Todd Grimes, Patrick Basile, Daija Basile and six beautiful grandchildren, Spencer Roveto, Liliana Lozza, Sydney Lozza, Madelyn Lozza, Conor Hendrickson and Rose Hendrickson.

Her life will be celebrated on Friday, May 2 at St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hempstead, NY at 11 AM.

A luncheon will directly follow at Michaleen Flynn’s Public House (275 Merrick Road, Lynbrook, NY).
