Diane Barbara Huie, 85, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 8th. She was born on August 7, 1939 in Philadelphia, P.A. to Joseph and Marie Oettinger. Diane graduated St. Boniface Business School in Philadelphia and received in addition to her business degree an achievement award for her expert typing skills. While employed with a Real Estate firm after graduation, she met the love of her life, Thomas Henderson Huie. They married in 1957, and celebrated their 67 years together with six children: Thomas J. Huie (Gloria) of Egg Harbor, N.J., Joseph J. Huie of Fort Pierce, FL, Nadine J. (Sato) (Brian) of Fort Pierce, FL, Angeline J. Vanaman (Ralph) of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., Annamarie J. Huie at home and Patrice Erin Medolla of Mays Landing, N.J. In addition to her children, she is survived by five grandchildren, Frank Bellanger III (Sephanie), Jenniel Gambardello (Anthony), Jonathan Vanaman, Sophia Medolla, Hannah Huie, and two great-grandchildren, Nina Smith, and Leo Bellanger as well as several nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her parents and sister, Bernadette Lemon. She is survived by her brother, James J. Oettinger (Ginger) of Ocala, FL, and sisters Rosalie A. Radell (Gene) of Bridgewater, NJ. and Camille A. Filling (Robert) of Lebanon, P.A. Diane held several positions as an administrative professional throughout her career. She retired from the N.J. Division of Gaming Enforcement in Atlantic City as Lead Secretary. Diane was drawn to the less fortunate throughout her life and never hesitated to send an elderly neighbor a meal or provide assistance to those in need. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Little Egg Harbor, N.J.
