Eight Bells for Captain Herbert E Plump. On Wednesday evening my Dad passed away surrounded by close friends and family. A great man, husband, father, grandfather and retired Captain in the New Jersey State Police. After months of great care from many wonderful doctors and nurses, and after doing all that could be done...it was time for his "end of watch". If you knew Herb you know he had a great sense of humor which he carried through out this ordeal. He will be missed by all. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 9th, 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. All are cordially invited to a reception immediately following the Mass at the Toms River Hotel, Rt. 37, Toms River, NJ.
